The Bodice

The side laced bodice is fashioned in an excellent deep red damask. It is lined and also interlined in black canvas  and is a very sturdy bodice. There are 5 pieces of spring steel boning in the front of the bodice to flatten your tummy and enhance your curves. I have put caps at the shoulders and split skirting at the waist for that period correct look. There are 16 professionally set black grommets on each side that are laced in black. The shoulder straps tie in at the front, and have loops sewn in the underside to accomodate the detachable sleeves. Measurements of the bodice are:

Bust: 38"-44"

Waist: 31"-35"

Please remember that the higher you are on the measurement scale, the more gap there will be between the grommets.

The Overskirt is made of the same fabric as that of the bodice for a perfect match. It has a drawstring waistband and measures 42" from the waist to the rolled hem.

The Underskirt is made of unbleached muslin with a panel of a rich fabric with a fleur de lis design with red and olive florettes that have been embellished with hand sewn Swaraovski crystal pearls.

The Sleeves are made of the same fabric as the forepart and also have been encrusted with pearls. The upper arm measurement of the sleeves is 13 inches and they are 21 inches from shoulder to wrist. (17 inches from armpit to wrist.)

Between the sleeves and the forepart, there are in excess of 850 pearls that have been hand sewn to the fabric.

The unbleached muslin noble's chemise and the bodice jewelry are not included in this listing, and unfortunately are not available for sale.
